Happy Tails 2019
Not too long ago, little Miss Ginger found herself having to start all over when her owner passed away. We helped her begin that journey when we transported her to the welcoming arms of her rescue family on July 20th. Our hearts were warmed and our spirits overjoyed when we received this message from her forever home:
"Dear Qk9C, I recently adopted Ginger the Himalayan cat from a rescue in Wisconsin.. . . She is the best little cat....so loving, gentle, and good with my other Himalayan. I am overcome with joy that someone pulled her from that shelter and sent her on her new life. She has given us such happiness in the week we’ve had her. She has her forever home. . . . Thank you for your dedication to these animals who are in such need. . . .Here are some pictures of her settling into her new home. We just adore her! She has many beds but likes to sleep on the floor.
Kind Regards, Jen"
Thank you so much Jen from everyone at Quincy K-9 Connection and especially from Ginger!!
Ollie was transported by us at the end of June. We are THRILLED to pass along this information:
"Ollie is doing fantastic . . . . I personally took Ollie to our foster on Sunday and spent two hours doing the meet and greet with the family then their family dog named Jazzy. They have five children and three ponds plus 8 acres. I cannot believe how well it went and I continue to get updates daily. Ollie will be fixed on July 9th by our vet at Sheboygan Animal Hospital. He is so great with the kids we couldn’t believe it and him and Jazzy are instant friends. Last night they messaged me “I’m sorry but you can’t have Ollie back; he has found his forever”!!!! We are so happy. So, the adoption will occur once he is neutered after the 9th. Ollie will live the best life and they are keeping his name."
Thank you Paws Up Pet Rescue for opening your doors and hearts to Mr. Ollie and thank you so much for the wonderful update. He is a lucky boy!!
Double Adoptions Rock !!🎉
Lucky & Lawrence -
We transported these two little tuxedo boys at the end of JUne and they are already enjoying the comforts of a FUR-ever home AND their new doggie sister, Gracie. ❤️❤️
Gracie and Si -
We transported these sibling Aussies mid-June. We are thrilled to report they will remain together in their new FUR-ever home. ❤️❤️
Jenny (fka Emmy) -
Quincy K-9 Connection helped this beauty (fka as Emmy) find placement with Great Lakes Border Collie Rescue back in April. Her foster mom, Denise, very much adored Emmy and taught her all kinds of manners. Just recently, however, Emmy (now known as Jenny) met her forever family. This is the message we got from Denise:
“Emmy” who was “Gweneviere” for the GLBCR website and is now “Jenny”, was adopted by a wonderful family in Michigan yesterday. The family is deliriously happy and Jenny will be spoiled and adored. The family has missed their dear Jonah since he went over the rainbow bridge earlier this year. Cooper, their other dog, has missed his buddy too as he would sit in Jonah’s favorite spots and cry or grieve. Jenny and Cooper hit it off immediately and you should have seen them playing and chasing each other around the yard.
Thank you Anne and Klingele Veterinary clinic for putting Jenny on this road. She was definitely a favorite here also and is missed. But she went to a family who needed her! You are all angels!
We helped this cutie pie out in early May. We were thrilled to receive this update from his new owner (via our friends at K9 Lifeline Rescue, Inc.)
"Hope all is well. I wanted to touch base and tell you how well Pugsley is doing! He has adjusted great to the his new home and gets along great with his brother Bentley. He loves to play with my 4 yr old nephew and is great with my 10 month old niece who comes over! Wherever he came from must of trained him well because he is already learning new commands and loves to be rewarded with treats! ☺️ "
Good Boy Pugsley, you handsome little dude!!
Cece (fka Opal) -
Quincy K-9 Connection helped the beautiful Cece (fka Opal) in January. Recently, we received a very nice e-mail from her new family letting us know how well she is doing. They said she loves to play and will talk to you if you are not paying attention to her. She's also very loving and cuddly when calm. Cece enjoys walks along Lake Michigan and smelling the flowers.
Looks to us like Cece is living a VERY good life!! 🌺⭐️🐾
Dexter (fka Trooper) -
Boy, it sure didn't take long for Trooper to charm his way into someone's heart!! This is the message we received less than 2 weeks after transporting him:
I just wanted to let you know I adopted Trooper (now Dexter) and he's doing absolutely wonderful. Thanks for all you do!
I've gained 3lbs in less than 2 weeks!
I love Bruce.
I love food.
I sleep with the big dogs all night long.
I still poop on the floor sometimes.
"I always wanted you to know I took Sapphire 7 years ago from A&S Rescue run by Silva Simmons. I saw Sapphire’s pictures and post on her website and all the information you gave about her. You were spot on about everything you said about her sweet personality!
We found out she was Heartworm positive when she was going to be spayed. She didn’t have any symptoms and the medicine was in short supply at that time so they gave her shots to kill the parasite that is inside the parasite!
And then she was and has been on monthly heart worm medicine every month every since. Good news is that she is now heart worm free! ...She looks pretty much the same maybe a little bit heavier but not fat! ....Thank you for putting her post and information on Silva’s page! I so appreciate it! . . . I love her! Thank you, Lois Becker "
We transported Belle to her rescue organization on 1/26. Just 15 days later we received this message from them:
"The best dog in the world found a great home yesterday! I kept telling my husband that if she didn’t get adopted soon, she was coming home with me! She is just the sweetest thing- thanks for sending her to us!"
Good job Belle!! We love you girl! ❤️
Let's get the New Year going with a Happily Ever After!! Our volunteers transported the lovely Miss Ollie just this past Saturday, 1/5/2019. She is a special girl and her former home had an extremely hard time giving her up, but wanted better for her. It certainly didn't take Ollie long to pour on the charm once arriving in her foster home. They ADORE her and will formally be making her a permanent family member. Good job Ollie! We love you girl!! ❤️
