Happy tails 2021
Tango - Big boy Tango found himself abandoned at a shelter when Quincy K-9 Connection stepped in and transported him to safety on January 15, 2021. Look at Tango now! He is enjoying the comfort of his furever home and has very clearly taken over "his" new couch. Many thanks to our wonderful rescue partner Jellystone Barks Rescue RANGERs for finding his furever family. It takes a village, and one that we are proud to be part of! |
Rocco- Meet Rocco, formerly Kibble, a small black and tan min pin/chihuahua/pug mix who was transported in May 2020 to our rescue partner, Underdog Railway Rescue. Rocco was adopted by his foster family (Rocco is on the right) and is doing great! He loves playing with his fur sibling, Angel (on the left) and is dearly loved by his adoptive family. |
Charlie - Check out these before and afters of Charlie the shih tzu who was transported in March to our friends at New Start Dog Rescue of Illinois. Poor Charlie was in need of a good grooming upon arrival and has a large tumor/lump that needs to be removed. His new rescue has welcomed him with open arms. Here's what they have to say about sweet Charlie: "We got him groomed. He goes in on the 21st for surgery to remove the lump and have a dental done. It's a benign fatty tumor but because of its size, our vet recommended removing it. You can really see the size after we got him groomed. He is being adopted by his foster family who fell in love literally right away and just can't see their home without him. He's such a love." Thank you to New Start Dog Rescue of Illinois and Patty Procek for helping Charlie. |
Majestic/Jessie - Majestic, a beautiful and friendly German shepherd, came from an overcrowded shelter where he had few options to get out. Animals in these situations are typically euthanized due to overcrowding, desperately needed funding, and a low chance of local adoption. Two weeks ago, Quincy K-9 Connection rescued Majestic and transported this sweet baby to our friends at Illinois Birddog Rescue. Meet Majestic, now Jessie, in their new foster-to-adopt home. Thank you to our rescue partners, transporters, on-the-ground shelter workers, and our transport coordinators for helping dogs like Majestic on their way to a furever home. |
Lane & Snowslide - Lane and Snowslide, two, 12-week old kittens who found themselves dumped at a shelter with limited time due to space. Quincy K-9 Connection rescued these two beautiful kittens, and today they are living the dream with their new furever family (adoption day picture on the right). Lane (now Sam) and Snowslide (now Fenris) are happy, loved, and have the run of the house and a big lab brother to play with! |
