Alongside this update, we received a heartwarming album of pictures. Believe us when we say, it was hard to only pick a few!!! We cannot thank Ruby's mom, Krista, for taking the time to send us this update AND for loving Ruby. Updates like these are what remind us why we work so hard to help each of our passengers.

Sully -
This cute fellow had a very sad story. He was once the beloved companion of someone. That person eventually met a new boyfriend and the result was Sully was made to move outside and live in a shed through hot and cold weather. Fleas covered his once cared-for coat and his food & water deliveries became inconsistent. Luckily, Sully's situation came to our attention in August of 2022. We found him placement with Ruby's Rescue & Retreat. There, he captured the attention of his new forever mom who wanted him VERY much. She drove 4 hours to adopt him. Shortly after arriving in his new home, he became very sick and needed tons of medical care. Throughout it all, his hoo-man mama, Mary, stuck by his side and helped him recover. Never once, did she ever give up on him or want to return him. Sully is home to stay. He has 3 siblings who have accepted him and welcomed him fully. He also has a lot to say about how and when his mama does laundry. 🅖🅞🅞🅓 🅑🅞🅨 🅢🅤🅛🅛🅨!! |
Leo - Leo was another unclaimed stray who rode aboard our second transport of 2023. His new hoo-man, Tina, found our Facebook page, and located the weekly collage post with Leo's picture. There, she dropped us these 2 a͓͓̽̽d͓͓̽̽o͓͓̽̽r͓̽a͓͓̽̽b͓͓̽̽l͓͓̽̽e͓̽ pictures of him with his new favorite buddy. We think they look like a match made in Heaven. Leo has now been living with his FUR-ever family for 2 months and counting. Thank you, Tina, for the update! |

Paco - Another happy tail, this time from Paco (gray dog on left)! Paco was transported by QK9C before the holidays, and he has found his new furever home with his new adoptive brother, Brodie. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our rescue partner Adopt a Pet for their help in placing Paco in a loving new home. Happy tails, Paco! |
