Happy tails 2022
Meadow - Meadow was transported to her rescue by us on 5/7/2022. We love this update from her forever family!! We adopted Meadow in June from New Start Dog Rescue of Illinois. You transported Meadow to her rescue in April. We are grateful for you and for New Start for bringing our girl to us and expressed that gratitude with a donation to you and NS last night. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Steve, Dianne, Bailey, and Meadow (Meadow is on the left and her 15.5 yr old sister Bailey is on the right) |
Sarge - We were feeling all warm and fuzzy when our final Tree of Lights donation came in alongside a picture and an update of an adorable dog we transported on 10/16/2021. This is what his Hu-mom had to say, "Our wonderful Sarge came to us from you through HSCI last year. We love him and our other rescue Jenna. Just sent your organization a donation. Thank you, Deanna" Deanna, you made our day and started off our New Year with a smile! Thank you for adopting and loving Sarge and Jenna (and your donation too)! |
Blonde - When you're small and sweet, you just don't expect to end up with a home. Nevertheless, that is exactly what happened to Miss Blonde. While she deserved to be snuggling with her people, the sweet Miss Blonde was actually sitting all alone in a dog run at animal control wondering what her future would be. In August, she took a freedom ride to one of our rescue partners. Once there, Blonde didn't waste any time charming her soon-to-be humans. She now enjoys a softer seat in her new home that has the perfect view of the outside world. Strong work Blonde, strong work. |
Teddy (fka Bear) - Teddy, formerly Bear, was transported by Quincy K-9 Connection on Saturday, May 7. Teddy is only two years old and has had a rough start to life. His former owner abused, beat, and neglected him. He was turned over to a small, rural municipal shelter in Missouri while his owner was brought up on charges. Teddy spent five long months being nursed back to health in the shelter by some very kind and loving shelter workers. He was then released by the state and turned over to QK9C. Teddy now has a loving furever home with three boys to play with and a big fenced-in yard. Teddy still bears the scars of his "old" life and is learning that all new things are not scary. He is learning about navigating stairs, how to play with toys, and enjoying nice long walks. Welcome home, Teddy! Many thanks to our partner, New Start Dog Rescue of Illinois and Patty Procek for their help with Teddy. |
Jack & Buddy - We couldn't do what we do without out the support of our donors, volunteers, and rescue partners. Each plays a vital role to our successes. On this Easter Sunday, we are DeLiGhTeD to share the news that 2 pups we helped from Pike County in March have been adopted. Jack, 2 y/o JRT, with a great disposition, is already in his new home. Buddy, 4 y/o lab mix, sweet and calm, will be going to his new home on the 28th. The future is bright indeed for these two sweethearts. We wish them both the HaPpIeSt of EvEr AfTeRs. |
Sam - We just wanted to reach out and let you know we are adopting Sam from your 1/22 transport through One Tail at a Time. We’ve been fostering him for about a month now. He’s got a great townhome with us in Chicago with lots love and dog friends in our neighborhood! We just adore this gentle giant and are so grateful to be his forever family! Best, Kent & Meg |
Noah - Meet Noah (formerly Skippy) who was rescued by Quincy K-9 Connection in February 2021. Noah went to our wonderful rescue partner Friends Forever Humane Society and is now living his best life! His mom and dad say that they are "forever grateful" to all who helped Noah get to his furever family. Thank you to Noah's family for choosing to rescue! |
